Robert L. Slaughter, 83, was born May 19, 1929 in Beaumont, TX to Owen and Essel Cowart Slaughter and passed away April 13, 2013 in Beaumont, TX. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Robert was a long-time resident of Southeast Texas and retired after 40 years as a supervisor with Mobil Chemical Company in Beaumont. He served his country in the Korean War with the United States Marine Corps.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Terri Slaughter; his son, Steven Slaughter; two grandsons, Joshua and Jason Wright; four great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Long, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Veitch Slaughter, his parents and his brother, Ted Slaughter.
