Robert "Scooby-Doo" Reyes

Robert “Scooby-Doo” Reyes, 81, of Kountze, passed away on December 16, 2019, in Beaumont.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a sharing of memories at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Claybar Kelley Watkins in Beaumont.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on December 15, 1938, he was the son of Ventura Reyes and Socorro (Alviar) Reyes. Robert enjoyed shooting pool, listening to oldies music, dancing, and being outdoors, but his greatest joy came from being surrounded by his family. Robert will be dearly missed by all those who came to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ventura and Socorro Reyes; son, Robert Reyes Jr.; and brother, Rufus Reyes.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Hernandez of South Souix City, Nebraska, Christopher Reyes and wife Milissa of South Souix City, Nebraska, Laura Castillo of Silsbee, Ronny Reyes of Euless, and Blanca Benally and husband Jonathan of Dallas; siblings, Joe Reyes and wife Gloria, Connie Clark and husband Bob, Paula Varela, Ortencia Cowles, Raymond Reyes and wife Linda, Maria Cardenas, Hope Enriquez and husband Hector, Johnny Reyes, Rosie Solis and husband Robert, Chris Reyes and wife Diane, Jesse Reyes, and Pilar Newman and husband Bill; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
