Robert Lynn Young, 53, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on October 5, 2019.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Sabine Tabernacle in Beaumont. Officiating will be Jimmy Boykin. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on June 23, 1966, he was the son of Claude Douglas Young and Berdie Francis (Ard) Young. Robert worked as a truck driver for many years. He was a strong man with a soft heart who always took care of his family. Robert was a loving husband and a caring father. He was very friendly, and loved listening and giving advice to others. He enjoyed being around his loved ones and grilling. Robert will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 27 years, Sharon Young; his parents, Claude and Berdie Young; and his brother, Doug Young.

He is survived by his son, Alan Young and wife Shelby of Beaumont; his grandchild, Harper Young; and his niece, Jennifer Rieson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Prince, Bobby Towne, Chris Haskett, Aaron Schexnyder, David Setagall, and Norman Bregnack.
