Robert L. Bob Reinhardt

Captain Robert L. "Bob" Reinhardt, 66, died at his residence in Hemphill, TX and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 21, 2009.

Funeral services will be held at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange on Thursday, August 27 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan George of the Six Mile Baptist Church officiating.

Graveside Services will follow with Military Honors by the Orange Police Department at the Yellowpine Cemetery on Hwy 87, south of Hemphill.

Visitation will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange on Wednesday, August 26 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Bob was born on December 19, 1942 in Henderson, Kentucky. He served in the army for 6 years. Part of his military duty was spent at the White House during the Kennedy/Johnson administration. After leaving the army, he returned to Henderson and joined the Henderson Police Department. In 1971, he became an Orange Police Officer, and worked for the department for 27 years, retiring with the rank of Captain. He and his wife, Barbara, then moved to the Six Mile area on Toledo Bend Lake. They are members of the Six Mile Baptist Church. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Rose Reinhardt. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 46 years, Barbara Reinhardt; his son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Brenda Reinhardt of Mauriceville; his daughter and son-in-law, Cari and Terry LeDoux of Orange; his brother & wife, Frank & Donna Reinhardt of Georgia; his sisters and their husbands, Tootsie & Glen Thompson and Patsy & Sam Saalwaechter of Kentucky; his precious grandchildren, Micah & Maegan Reinhardt and Abbi & Chase LeDoux, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers are Danny Aaron, Mike Broussard, Langston Frederick, George Jones, James Simar, Don Sullivan, Kyle Waddell and Troy Waddell. Honorary Pallbearers are Chase LeDoux, Micah Reinhardt, Jay Hall and Clifton Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Six Mile Baptist Church Building Fund, 9575 St. Hwy. 87S, Hemphill, TX 75948.
