Rodger Dale Allen

Rodger Dale Allen, 62, was born March 27, 1950 in Batesville, MS to Willie Tutor Allen and passed away April 6, 2012 in Vidor. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 4:00 PM prior to the service at 7:00 PM.

Rodger was a long time resident of Vidor prior to moving to Beaumont about 8 months ago. He was a self-employed owner/manager of Allen's Trucking Enterprise for many years prior to retiring.

Those left to survive Rodger are his fiancée, Billie Jean Swann; daughters, Lisa Ann East and fiancée Donny Dennis of Nederland and Bridgette Allen Ramirez of Pt. Arthur; grandchildren, Rodger Dale Allen East, Celeste Melancon, Sabrina Melancon and Katie Melancon; great-granddaughters, Katrina Allen, Lillianna Salamanca and great-grandson, Fabian Moreno; sisters, Betty Carolyn Palermo and husband Sam, Barbara Bibby and husband, Jerry and Ruby Rees and husband, Harry. Rodger was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Johnny W. Allen.
