Roger Wayne Cormier

Roger Wayne Cormier, 60, of Bridge City, died, Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Reverend Jim McClintock of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City to officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Roger was born January 31, 1947, in Port Arthur to Irvin J. and Margaret Miguez Cormier.

Roger was a member of the Estelle Fetters Adult Activity Center in Groves. He loved to bowl and was an avid Elvis fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin J. Cormier and grandparents, John and Nina Mae Miguez.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret L. Cormier of Bridge City; sister Linda Nicks and husband, Jerry L. of Bridge City; aunt, Beverly Prados; nieces and nephews, Michele George and husband Michael, Mikel Nicks and wife Suzanne, Lori Nicks and Neil Etheridge; great nieces and nephew, Julianna, Blake and Meredith Nicks, Kathryn and Kara George.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Southeast Texas Hospice for the loving care given to Roger.

Aunt Margaret so sorry to hear about Roger...he was a very special person..I still remember some of the times we all spent together..they were some really good times..He used to call me SIlvia Anne..and no matter were he saw me at he would give me a hug..##imported-begin##silvia benoit##imported-end##

I didn't know Roger personally, but we used to bowl at the same time at Port Arthur Bowling Alley on Memorial. I remember that he was a good bowler, and always had a smile on his face. My prayers are with you all at this time.##imported-begin##Chris Klinkhammer##imported-end##
