Funeral services for Rose Mary Oge Rose, 81, of Beaumont will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with interment to follow in the Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rose Mary was born on February 14, 1929 in Washington, Louisiana to the late George Gordon Oge, Sr. and Virginia Mae Brown Oge and passed away August 25, 2010 surrounded by family at her residence.

A devoted Catholic for her entire life, she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China, Texas. She received a bachelors degree from the University of Southern Louisiana and in 1950 graduated as a RN from Hotel Dieu in Beaumont. She loved hunting and the outdoors and will be remembered by her husband, family and friends as being very loving, caring and generous person ... and a "great shot."

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, William A. Bill Rose; children, Wayne E. Rose and Sharon Rose, William G. Sr. and Lisa Rose, Robert J. Sr. and Vicki Rose, Mary Jane and Frank E. "Butch" Berwick, Patricia E. Rose, Brandon M. and Renae Rose, "adopted son" George Gordon Oge, III; grandchildren, William Rose II, Jessica A. Rose, Virginia M. Rose, Robert J. Rose, Jr., Sarah Rose, Jennifer Rose, William G. Rose, Jr., Laura Rose, Richard P. Rose, Gerald Lynn Rose, Brent J. Berwick, Jamie M. Rose, John D. Rose, and Catherine A. Bland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert J. Oge, George Gordon Oge, Jr. and Gerald Oge; sister, Dorothy Miertschin; granddaughter, Emily Rose Larson.

Friends who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China, Texas.
