Rosemary Murphy, 81, of Bridge City, Texas died Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at her daughter's residence in Houston, Texas.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m Friday, September 10, 2010 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Steve Leger. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks in Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with the rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Born in Marcellus, New York on June 19, 1929, Rosemary was the daughter of Sarah Gertrude McNally and Raphael McNamara.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O.B. "Rip" Murphy; and brother, David McNamara.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Guido Piggott of Houston; daughter, Marilyn Murphy of Orange; son, Randall Murphy of Austin; son, Michael Murphy of Houston; son, Brian Murphy of San Diego California; 9 grandchildren, Chris Morris, Sarah Morris, Heather Murphy, Jonathan Murphy, Amy Jacobs, Kelly Piggott, Mallory Murphy, Rose Murphy, and Matt Murphy; and 6 great-grandchildren, Maddox Turner, Jaxon Turner, Ryland Jacobs, Cayden Jacobs, Layden Adams, and Camden Adams.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Morris, Jonathan Murphy, Matt Murphy, Ronald Goodyear, Curtis Peasley, and Cody McNamara.

Dear Marianne & Family, I had the blessed privilege of visiting your mom on at least two or three occasions as a Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound from St. Elizabeth.
