Roy A. Thompson, 60, of Beaumont, passed away on December 23, 2018, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, with a visitation beginning at 9:00am, Friday, December 28, 2018, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Corbett Thompson.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on February 22, 1958, he was the son of Claude Albert and Mary Jane (Armstrong) Thompson. Roy was a longtime resident of Beaumont. He was a member of North End Baptist Church. Roy was on the Board of Shepherds Inn and a regular volunteer at Some Other Place. He was also a member of the Lion’s Club. He lived his life helping others. Roy enjoyed traveling and listening to gospel music and music from the 1970’s.

He is survived by his brother, Larry Thompson and wife, Becky of Port Neches; nephews, Corbett and Caleb Thompson; and great-nephew, Preston Luke Thompson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Skinner, Corbett Thompson, and Caleb Thompson.
