Roy Roger Brown, Sr. - Labrie-Claybar

Roy Roger Brown, Sr., 62, of Bridge City, died Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas on October 17, 1948, Roy was the son of Porter Morgan Brown and Dorothy Evelyn Wright Sonnier.

He was preceded in death by his father, Porter Morgan Brown, Sr.; and brothers and sisters, Joey Brown, Wanda Carolyn Brown, Marcia Lea Hryhorchuk, and Porter Morgan Brown, Jr.

Roy is survived by his mother, Dorothy Sonnier of Bridge City; daughter, Rachel Renee Shields; son, Roy R. Brown, Jr., grandchildren, Eric and Hannah Shields; and brothers and sisters, Dorothy Marilyn Schmidt of Deweyville, Paula Robertson of Vidor, Sandra K. Lutz of Bridge City, and Buddy Boy Brown of New Caney.
