Russell "Gypsy" Suggs, 80, of DeRidder, Louisiana, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, in DeRidder.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00 -8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home in Orange.

Mr. Suggs was born on April 3, 1927, in Marshall, and was the son of Ernest and Dina Miller Suggs.

A former resident of Bridge City, he was a salesman with Chas. S. Nacol Jewelers in Orange for more than 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Suggs and grandson, Jacob Smith.

He is survived by his sons, Troy Suggs of West Orange, Johnny Suggs of Orange, Gary Suggs of Bridge City; daughters, Diana Rowland of DeRidder, Teresa Smith of Bridge City; sister, Ronnie Mullin of Lufkin; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
