Ruth Elizabeth Coffman, 93, formerly of Shipshewana, Ind., and West Palm Beach, Fla., died Saturday at Golden Years Assisted Living.

She was born in Beemer, Neb., Oct. 31, 1917. Ruth was the daughter of Daniel and Emma Birky Nitzsche. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Coffman, her parents, a brother and a sister.

She is survived by her children, Susan Troyer and husband, Ronald, of Des Moines, Iowa, Dan Coffman and wife, Barb, of New Buffalo, Mich., Tom Coffman and wife, Carol, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Brenda Murphy and husband, Patrick, of Orange; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Delmar Nitzsche of West Point, Neb.; and sister, Fern Hooley of New Paris, Ind.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City. A memorial service will take place March 12 at St. Luke?s United Methodist Church, Lake Worth, Fla. Burial will be March 14 in Grovetown, Ga.
