Funeral services for Samir Elias Sarkis age 78 of Beaumont will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Orthodox Christian Church in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation is scheduled to begin at 5 P.M. Monday evening December 22, 2014 followed by a Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home, 1155 N. 11th Street, Beaumont Texas.

Mr. Sarkis was born May 15, 1936 and died December 15, 2014 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife Marie; sons Elias and Imad; daughters, Mouna and Rana; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made In Memory Eternal of Mr. Samir Sarkis Memorial Fund at St. Michael Orthodox Christian Church, 690 N. 15th St., Beaumont, Texas 77702.

It was my great pleasure to have worked with and known Samir Sarkis. It was a wonderful experience to witness his intellect, compassion and integrity. My prayers to Marie, Elias, Imad, Mouna, and Rana. I will miss Mr. Sarkis. My life was enriched for knowing him. I often recall him fondly......as a friend..........may he rest in peace.
