Sandra Kaye Aaron Thornton, 59, of Orange, died October 19, 2009, in Houston.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Sandra was born on November 3, 1949, in Orange, Texas. She was the daughter of Amos Aaron and Quida McCoy Aaron. Sandra worked for the IRS in Austin, Attorneys in Beeville and Parole Board in Orange. She was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church and also a member of Local Tops.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, J.R. Aaron and Roy Aaron; and two sisters, Lucy Deming and Rosemary Slaton.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Steven Thornton of Orange; sons, Brian Thornton of Mauriceville and Gregory Thornton of Orange; brothers and sister, Peggy Hudson of Orange, Danny Aaron of Holiday Forest Toledo Lake, Howard Aaron of Orange, and Larry Aaron of Orange; and one granddaughter, Brittani Thornton of Knoxville, Tennessee.
