Shane Dronett, 38, of Duluth, GA, died January 21, 2009.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25th, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, TX. Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange, TX. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 24th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home.
Mr. Dronett, a native of Orange, TX, graduated from the University of Texas and was an All American in 1991. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 1992 and played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1996-2002. Mr. Dronett also worked in sales for Robert Real Estate Company. He was an avid sportsman with a true love of hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Dronett of Duluth, GA; daughters, Berkley and Hayley Dronett, both of Duluth, GA; mother, Candace Dawn Henry of Mauriceville, TX; step-father, James Breeden of Orange, TX; father, GeorgeCarlton Dronett and step-mother, Debbie Dronett of Orange, TX; Aunts, Dottie Dorgis of New Jersey, Deb Harmon, and Lou Dorman of Orange; Uncles, Mike Anderson of Orange, and J.D. Dronett of Cali, Columbia; step-brothers, Bryan Frazier and Dale Frazier, both of Austin, TX; and grandmother, Peggy Anderson of Orange.
