Sharon Gayle Stark

"Maw Maw" Sharon Gayle Harrington Stark, age 65, went to be with her Savior, May 1, 2013, while in residence at the Arboretum of Winnie.

A lifetime resident of High Island, Texas, she will be missed by many because of the love she freely offered to anyone she came in contact with...and, of course, her sense of humor. She became affectionately known far and wide as "Maw Maw".

Sharon was preceded in death by her father and mother, R.E. and Idell Harrington. She leaves behind a brother, William Desmoreaux.

She is survived by her daughter, Buffy Diebel and her husband, Craig, her son, Michael Stark Jr. and his wife, Britney and her daughter, Charlotte Stark and her husband, Brent. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Courtney, Hoby, Hannah and Colt and her great-grandchildren, Hunter, Bryson and Trenton and numerous adopted grandchildren, family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Trinity Church in Winnie. The visitation will begin again on Friday morning, May 3, at Trinity Church. A home going service will also take place at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2013 at Trinity Church, officiated by Pastor Harold Jones. Interment will follow at High Island Cemetery, High Island, TX.

Sharon was one of a kind. She stood her ground on everything she believed in. If she liked you she loved you but heaven help you if she did not like you. She was a strong woman.
