Shirley Lucille Turner Garrett

Shirley Lucille Turner Garrett, 77, of Orange, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010, at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010, at Faith United Methodist Church in Orange with Reverend Kevin Kissel officiating. A 4:00 p.m. graveside service will be held at Bedias Baptist Cemetery in Bedias, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home in Orange.

Born in Waco, Texas on May 5, 1933, Shirley was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Louise Smith Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and father and mother-in-law, John and Lois Garrett.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Garrett, Sr.; daughter, Joyce L. Foster and husband, John of Cypress; son, Billy Ray Garrett, Jr. and wife, Robin of Humble; daughter, Judy M. Mayweather of Pasadena; son, John W. Garrett of Crosby; daughter, Mary L. Hancks and husband, Gary of Crosby; daughter, Patricia A. Seay and husband, Chris of Parachute, Colorado; and step-daughter, Sherry A. Carpenter and husband, Johnny of Brazoria.

She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Nan Elbert and husband, Gene; 3 brothers, Tommy Lynn Turner and wife, JoAnn, Jimmy Turner and wife, Shelia, and Joe Turner and wife, Carol; 3 sisters-in-law, Margie Isbell, Ermal Jordan and husband, Ed, and Evelyn Kelso and husband, Lee.

Serving as Pallbearers will be John Garrett, Bill Garrett, Michael Garrett, Chris Garrett, Mickey Reed and Michael Reed. Honorary Pallbearer will be Josh Dennis.
