Soledad Valdez was born July 9, 1922 in New Waverly, Texas and passed away July 28, 2017 in Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Anne Catholic Church with Msgr. William Manger serving as Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Mrs. Valdez was a homemaker and member of St. Anne Catholic Community. She was preceded in death by her husband Angel Valdez; sons, Tommy, Gabriel an Michael Valdez; and granddaughter, Kimberly Valdez.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons and daughters-in-law Manuel and Lori Valdez, Ralph and Barbara Valdez; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Luis Andreu, Gloria and Freddy Khoshghadami; and brother, Jose Rodriguez and daughter-in-law, Athena Valdez.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Michael Lewis Valdez, Deanna Sonnier, Regina Gonzalez, Luis Andreu Jr, Barbara Renee Perez,, James Valdez, Ronnie Valdez, Keisha Tennefrancia, Summer Melancon, Jennie Colunga Agosto, Mariam Khoshghadami, Christopher Khoshghadami, Kristopher Barnes, Robbie Barnes, Gregory Valdez, Nicholas Valdez; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

I wish I had got to know your mom, Manuel like my parents did. My mom, Pebbles, told me so many so many stories about your and my dad and your family throughout the years that some days I feel like I was there. By the way, she raised you and your friendship with my father I know she had to have the patience of a saint or was just an amazing mother wife and woman all around. (with the patience of a saint).My heart goes out to you and your family right now. You have their for mine so many times and you are part of them too. You're my dad chosen brother, so if there is anything you need please let us know. One last thing: You may not be with us here on Earth, and for that my heart is filled with joy that you are with the Lord, but I want to give my thanks in words for the kindness you showed my father when he found friendship through your son. Soledad, to your family and you, it was Manuel who led my father back to God. Valdez family I owe so much to this woman that I never truly got to thank, so I thank your family as a whole and praise God that she has found peace by His side.

Ah, me Mamita, she was one of a kind, old school, loving , kind , but firm when she had to be , with 6 kids , never a dull moment. ha ha. but she and daddy kept us in line, fed, dressed, and showed us how to be , strong, loving , kind ,independent young children, & reliant indivduals, able to surive on are on, and tackle lifes challenges. also very religious, loving our heaven father Jesus Christ above all and following the 10 commanments. oh my sweet mamita you will be deeply missed , but we all know you are now in Gods home with all the other Angels. be , happy and don't worry about us , until we meet again. your loving daughter Mary.

Oh sweet mother in law - you were always an angel on earth and we are so blessed that you will continue to watch over us from the heavens above. Your smiling face, loving heart and kindness will be missed by us on earth - but we are happy that you are rejoicing with you husband Angel and sons Tommy, Gabriel and Michael and granddaughter Kimberly and a host of others that have passed on. I am sure there was a mariachi band playing and a celebration upon your arrival. Rest in Peace our dear mother until we meet again.
