Robert Stanley McComic, 83, of Orange, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Baptist Orange Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Kevin Trinkle of Baptist Hospital. Burial will follow at Dorman Cemetery on Tulane Road in Orange.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Stanley was born in Wichita County, Texas on October 17, 1926. He was the son of E.B. and Willie McComic. Stanley was an Offshore Maintenance Supervisor for Mobil Oil for 34 years and was also a member of the A.A.R.P. organization.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 62 years, Luella McComic; daughters and sons-in-law, Debby and Tommy Griffith and Vicky and Jesse Trahan; and son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Ronda McComic.

He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Stacey, Rhonda, Tisha, Heath, Jenny, MaRanda and Krissy; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Dustin Badon, Todd Morrison, Brian Jackson, Heath Jinks, Joe Stephenson and Scott Sandifer. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rodney Badon.

Poppy was a gentle, kind, hard working, and loving grandfather who will be missed greatly.
