As a daughter in a British military family, Stephanie grew up all over the world, including Lancashire, England, Germany, Singapore, and Northern Ireland. She graduated from the Rochdale School of Nursing at Birch Hill Hospital in Rochdale, Lancashire UK in 1972. She was a registered nurse and worked as a nurse manager for HMSS Home Healthcare in Beaumont, where she pioneered in the field of in-home IV therapy and ministered daily to AIDS and cancer patients as well as children requiring intravenous nutrition. My deepest sympathy for the family, I enjoyed doing Stephanie's hair for 30 years. I have many stories of her and Bob and Richard, she loved her family greatly. Stephanie will live on in our hearts forever. I know where she is now. Rest in Peace my sweet friend.

Jason, Becky, Stephen and Richard; I know you already know this about your mom, but I will say it again anyway. Stephanie was a walking, breathing example of Christ here on earth. She counseled me and shared blessings with me on many occasions. I loved her and will miss the comfort of knowing I could visit with her whenever we could. I know you each will miss her greatly. I will look forward to seeing her in heaven when my time comes to see Jesus.

I remember Stephanie’s trips to Russia to bring help to orphanages where children were being raised in facilities with no heat in winter, and where all food and supplies. Babies in diapers that were frozen to them. She and her group took 18 Wheelers filled with supplies, had to bribe Russian officials to get through roadblocks to do it! What a marvelous Christian she was. I know she’s rejoicing in heaven now:pray::hearts:

Dear Jason, Becky and Steven, I am so sorry I couldn’t make it today. Your mom was a true “one of a kind”. On a number of trips to Russia, The Republic of Georgia and other countries I saw a depth of love, compassion, strength and determination that you rarely see in people. I’ve see her hold a orphaned baby who was intensely upset and and within a matter of seconds, the child is quiet and soon falls asleep. I’ve also seen this female version of Winston Churchill take on a Russian general, make him back down and release the container of supplies needed for the orphanage or the children’s hospital. You all know the ministry individual that I idolize…Pastor Dabney. Your mom, in my eyes, is right there with him. She lived out the quote by the Welsh minister, Reece Howell; “If I see a need and I have the means to meet that need then it is God’s will that I meet that need.” I love you all and the world is better off because your mom was here and the impact of her love with resonate for eternity. Love you Jason, Becky and Steven.
