Steve Morgan

Steve Morgan, 54, of Bridge City, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, at Eastgate Pentecostal Church in Vidor. Officiating will be Reverend Bobby Edwards of Eastgate Pentecostal Church and Reverend Gary Wheeler of First United Pentecostal Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Port Arthur on September 13, 1955, Steve was the son of Dr. Arthur and Clydine Trussell Morgan. He was a welder by trade, fisherman by choice.

Preceded in death by his father, Dr. Arthur Morgan and brother, Mark Morgan, Steve is survived by his wife, Frances Lucia-Morgan; mother, Clydine Morgan; son and daughter-in-law, Curt A. and Hannah Lucia; and son, Steven Don Morgan, Jr.

He is also survived by his brothers and their wives, Thomas and Kathy Morgan and Timothy and Joyce Morgan; and sister-in-law, Catalina Morgan.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Curt Lucia, Steven Morgan, Jr., Matthew Morgan, Darius Morgan, Anthony Lucia, Johnsey "J-Mac" McDonald and Wayne "Dino" Merendino. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alan Lucia, Vincent Lucia, Nicholas Morgan, Nestor Machuca and Arthur Morgan.

Steve, I have loved u like a brother since we were 6 years old. I remember on Sunday nights, I would stay awake and wait to hear your car doors shut so I would know u were home from church.
