Susan Bailey

Susan "Sue" Bailey, 84, of Bridge City, passed away, on Sunday, April 27, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Reverend Bob Boone of First Baptist Church in Bridge City will officiate. Interment will follow at Stephenson Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Sue was born November 12, 1923, in Beaumont to William St. Elmo and Ruby Ophelia Harvey Young.

She was the owner of Bailey's Fish Camp and was a charter member of First Baptist Church in Bridge City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruby Young, husband, Rob Bailey, four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby James Bailey and wife Rose of Orange, Robert Edward Bailey and

wife, Mary of Burnet, Henry P. Bailey and wife Jacqueline of League City, Gilbert Bailey and wife Ann of Deer Park, daughters, Madeline Bailey of Bridge City and Elizabeth Derosier of Port Arthur; fifteen grandchildren and many, many great grandchildren.

To the Bailey Family: Our family Beltz grew up with the Bailey family in Bridge City--back in the "olden days" going "crabbing" at Bailey's was the thing to do.
