Terry Renee Burleigh

Terry Renee Burleigh, 27, of Orange, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 3, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Burkheimer of Community Church. Burial will follow at Dorman Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.

Terry was born on June 25, 1981 in Beaumont, Texas. She was the daughter of Gerald and Sheila Doyle Burleigh. She was a 2004 graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Bert DeMary; and uncle, John Burleigh.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Gerald and Sheila Burleigh of Orange; grandfather, Jessie Doyle of Mauriceville; brothers, Shane Burleigh of Liberty, Eric Burleigh and his wife Dawn of Orangefield; aunt, Molly Burleigh of Orange; and nephew and niece, Troy Wright and Stormi Wright.

I knew Terry from MDA camp. She always had fun. One memory I have of her is when it was my last year at camp they were trying to get her on the ropes course. She said only if Karen did because she knew I was not going to do the course. I got talked into d##imported-begin##Karen Derx##imported-end##

I too graduated high school with Terry. Most of us that graduated in 1999 went to school at Orangefield starting in Kindergarten. We were all pretty close because it was such a small class. I worked with Terry at Wal-Mart. She was such an awesome young lady. No matter how hectic Garden Center got she always had a smile on her face.
