Thelma Herrington

Funeral services for Thelma Herrington, 85, of Beaumont will be held Monday, January 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sabine Tabernacle with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Herrington was born December 4, 1925 in Merryville, Louisiana to the late Lindsey and Maggie Doyle Conley and passed away January 21, 2011 in Silsbee, Texas. A former resident of Buna, she had resided in Beaumont for the past 65 years. She was a homemaker and member of the Sabine Tabernacle.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters; Debbie Herrington of Beaumont; Lynda Moncla and husband, Wayne, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Brandon Moncla and wife, Amber, of Houston, Aaron Moncla and wife, Stephanie, of Abilene; four great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie and Bill Grantham of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Herrington.

A little history:Stan and Leo worked together with the railroad, many years ago. In fact, Leo trained Stan "well," because Leo wanted to go on vacation and not come back to a mess.
