Theodore ?Ted? Smith, Jr., 80, of Orange, died, Sunday, October 28, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hermann Hospital in Orange.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born, December 21, 1926, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, the son of Theodore Smith, Sr. and Ruby Case Smith.

Mr. Smith was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and WWII. He was a member of North Orange Baptist Church for over 50 years, a member of Lions Club, Administrator for Local Little League Baseball and active as a local supporter.

He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy McGrew Smith; son Gregory Smith of Nacogdoches, TX daughter and son in law, Lisa and Marcus Sherman of Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Evan Smith, Blayne Smith, Charis Smith, Martha Sherman, Zachary Sherman; and brother, Ralph Smith and wife Doris of Brookhaven, Mississippi.
