Thomas Lee Harken III

1990 ∼ 2023

Thomas (Trace) Lee Harken III passed away Tuesday April 25th 2023. Trace was born in Beaumont Texas on January 5, 1990.

He graduated from West Brook High School in 2008 and then attended Lamar University and Texas A&M where he studied business management.

Trace loved the service industry and making someones experience a wonderful one. He started out early involved in the restaurant industry alongside his Poppee (Tom Harken Sr.). You may remember the infamous commercials Trace was featured in for Casa Ole. That sweet cherub face saying with strong thumbs up "It's another Casa Ole Day!"

As a high school student Trace showed incredible management skills and found himself a part of the top tier leadership team at Chick-fil-A at an early age. He had many leadership opportunities as a young adult and was a part of their training team for gran openings nationwide. He made life long friends while a part of the Chick-fil-A family. Later chose to enter into the medical field in the area of administration .

Everywhere Trace went he made friends with that magnetic smile, quick whit and instant ease with people. He loved going to the movies with his mom, he loved the theater, adored children and he absolutely loved to travel. He was a true friend and if he had not seen you in awhile that did not matter, he loved you deeply and the reconnection was instant.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Thomas Lee Harken Sr. of Beaumont, and maternal grandparents Woodrow Wilson (Bruce) Broussard, and Doris McAlister Broussard of Sour Lake. Trace is survived by his father and mother Tommy and Debra Harken of Bolivar Peninsula, his sister Terran(Akash)Jain, along with his baby nephew Aiden Jain residing in Houston. He also leaves his paternal grandmother Melba Harken, Uncle Mark Harken of Beaumont, and uncle David (Dorothy)Broussard of Louisiana. He will be deeply missed by his cousins Makenzie (Chase) Hildago of Beaumont and Marleigh Harken of Houston, as well as Brandon and Ginger of Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Judes Children's Research Hospital.

I remember dear Trace big smile and sunny disposition, his love for outdoor activities and his open mind. After he left All Saints Episcopal School where he was my student of Spanish and we happened to meet at the mall, at Lamar or at his work he would always call me loud and clear: “hola Señora Babar” and come over to give me one of his warm bear hugs. I will miss him and cherish the times we had together at school.
