Thomas Michael Boudreaux, Sr.

Thomas Michael Boudreaux, Sr., 84, of Orange, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Father George Kidangen of St. Helen Catholic Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Timothy Istre officiating.

Born in Crowley, Louisiana on August 9, 1926, Thomas was the son of Matheu and Ezor Laverne Boudreaux. He served in the US Army in World War II and later in the US Air Force in Korea. He was a member of the VFW in Vidor, the American Legion in Orangefield, and St. Helen?s Catholic Church in Orange.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Patrick Boudreaux; and granddaughters, Misty and Shelby Boudreaux.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Velta Boudreaux of Orangefield; daughter, Maxine Green of Orangefield; sons, Tom Boudreaux, Jr. of Sulphur, LA, Von Boudreaux and wife Cindy of McLewis, Steven Boudreaux and wife Deanna of Mauriceville, and Gordin Boudreaux and wife Roxanne of Orangefield.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandi, Denise, Shane, Latonya, Dustin, Justin, and Mya; 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; and sisters, Letha Hanks of Crowley, LA, and Hazel Menard of Winnie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.

We did not know until after the fact or we would certainly have been with you all. Tommy was a great man of God and Country. We will honor him at our next Post 250 meeting July.
