Tom J. Sullivan

Tom J. Sullivan, 84, of Orange died on December 8, 2008. Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home's temporary location at 1408 W Park. Reverend David Berkheimer of the Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at 5:00 p.m.

Mr. Sullivan was born on May 3, 1924, in Louisville, MS to Grover C Sullivan and Maudie P Eaves Sullivan. He was a painter with Local 328 and was a veteran of the US Marines serving in WW II. He was a member of the Assembly of God of Bridge City for 29 years, and the Masonic Lodge 126 for over 40 years. He loved to build wind chimes and loved to fish. He also volunteered with the Salvation Army.

Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his parents and his son, William J. "Bill" Sullivan. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita Sullivan and four children and their spouses; Clyde Sullivan and wife Jackie, Wayne Sullivan and his wife Kay, Chachee Sullivan and his wife Toni and Tonna Nobles and husband Tommy all of Orange; his daughter- in- law, Barbara Sullivan and brother, Clarence Albert Sullivan and his wife Beatrice. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tim Sullivan, Sean Sullivan, Josh Nobles, Michael Sullivan, Randy Wagner, Brandon Sullivan, Brady Sullivan, and Scott Sullivan.
