Tyler “Lanny” Kirkland, Jr., 75, of Beaumont, passed away on December 22, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Sabine Tabernacle in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Sabine Tabernacle in Beaumont.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on November 18, 1943, he was the son of Tyler Lanius Kirkland, Sr. and Marguerite (Howell) Kirkland. Lanny attended Sabine Tabernacle for 53 years, he also enjoyed playing golf and watching sports. He loved his chicken fried steak. Lanny was always playing guitar or singing. His greatest loves in life were his family and music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tyler Kirkland Sr. and Marguerite Kirkland and his brother, Donald Bruce Kirkland.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lucretia Ann Kirkland of Beaumont; daughter, Kristy Diane Allen and husband, Barry of Beaumont; and his siblings, Cheryl Dianne Martin of Beaumont, Deborah Gay Ohman of Fannett, and David Duane Kirkland of Shepherd.

Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Allen, Robert Sutton, Brandon Kirkland, Weston Allen, Mike Allen, and Deaven Ohman. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Sutton, Roy Gene Williams, and Dale Collier.
