Funeral services for Vee Chisum, 65, of Beaumont will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with Rev. Elvis Davis, officiating. Visitation will begin Saturday at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Vee was born November 13, 1944 in Pineland, Texas and passed away May 27, 2010 in Beaumont. A longtime resident of Beaumont, she was a former resident of Sour Lake and attended school in Sour Lake and China. Vee was a retired furniture salesperson and member of First United Methodist Church in Sour Lake.
She is survived by her life partner, Debbie Jones of Beaumont; sisters, Carmel Chisum Birdwell and Lynda Chisum Reeves of Beaumont; nephews, James Birdwell and wife, Nina of Bridge City, Gordon Birdwell and wife, Denise of Beaumont, Scott Reeves and Chisum Reeves of Beaumont; nieces, Lee Reeves Welch and husband, David of Nacogdoches, Carmel Reeves Myers and husband, Jim of Houston; great-nieces, Alex Reeves, Sam Welch, CJ Birdwell, Katie Birdwell and Sarah Birdwell; and great-nephew, Jacob Birdwell.
