Vera Dugger, 74, of Sugar Land, passed away on December 23, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Katy, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, with a visitation beginning at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Officiating will be Pastor Bill Morgan of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on February 9, 1944, she was the daughter of Augustine Sanchez, Sr. and Felicia (Flores) Sanchez. Vera worked at the County Tax office for 11 years then went on to work as a receptionist in Dr. Caskey’s office for 21years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Felicia Sanchez; siblings, Carmen Wallace, Jesse Sanchez, Paul Sanchez, Dorothy Means, Joe Sanchez and Roy Sanchez.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Dwayne Dugger and wife, Heather; granddaughter, Haley Lynn Dugger; step-grandchildren, Lauren Joines and husband, Michael, Robert Henley, Jr., and Keeli Henley; brother, Augustine Sanchez, Jr. and wife, Shirley; sisters, Amelia McKee and husband, Travis and Olivia Long and husband, Richard; and many other loving family members and friends.
