Verna Jones Guilbeau

Verna Jones Guilbeau, 69, of Orange, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at her home.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Mr. Ron Firmin.

Verna was born April 1, 1940, in Beaumont, Texas. She was the daughter of Orville and Ruth Jines Jones.

Verna worked in sales through her company Guilbeau's Enterprises. She was an avid animal lover. Verna also loved helping people, traveling, and was a wonderful cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Ruth Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin Guilbeau; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Lake Smith of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Joseph Smith, Benjamin Smith, Ashley Smith, and Caroline Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Charles Ogea of Sarepta, Louisiana; and brother, Ron Jones, of Orange.

Al Wayne & I were so very sorry to hear of Verna,s passing she will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Death is a terrible thng to have to deal with.
