Vernelia (Neil) Webb, 90, passed away on October 9, 2013. She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Atkinson from Beaumont and Lisa Webb from Florida; 2 granddaughters, Natalie El Amrani of Florida and Helen Schlueter and husband Daniel Schluter and 2 great granddaughters--Elise Claire and Amelia Jean Katherine Schlueter of O'Fallon, MO. and many nephews and nieces.
Neil was born Verneila Catherine Miller in Honey Island, Texas August, 1923. Preceding her in death are her parents Johnny and Annie Miller, her six brothers and sisters, and her grandson Scott Atkinson.
Neil served the Lord and her community faithfully as a Methodist Minister's wife for 35 years. She worked at Lamar Health Center and Trinity United Methodist church as church secretary.
Family and friends were very important to Neil and she was a loyal and supportive wife, mother, and friend.
Memorial services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10 am. Dr. Robert Shields officiating.
Neil will be missed by family and friends. She lived 90 years and we celebrate her long life joyfully.
In lieu of flowers, please place a memorial in Neil's name to Trinity United Methodist Church.
