Vickie James Turner

Vickie James Turner, 63, of Hartburg, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange, Texas on February 27, 1948, Vickie was the daughter of Earl and Juanita Eads James. She was a waitress, having worked at the Spindletop Truck Stop, Flying J, and the Holiday Inn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Juanita James; brother, Billy Earl James; and sister, Vera Evans.

Vickie is survived by her husband, LeRoy Turner, Sr. of Hartburg; sons, LeRoy Turner, Jr. and wife, Michele of Washington, and Robert Dale Turner of Vidor; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Garrett Lee, and Kayleigh Turner; great-granddaughter, Jessyca Ashton Gleeson; brothers, Henry Lee James and wife, Rita of Newton, Wayne James of Orangefield; and sister, Linda James of Hartburg.
