Viola Faye Verdine of Beaumont, 78, passed away June 7, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. She was born May 2, 1930 in Coleman, Texas to Richard and Dora Crenshaw.

She is survived by sons and their wives, Clyde and Carla, David and June and Richard and Glenda Verdine all of Beaumont. Grandchildren surviving her are David Verdine, Jr., Monica Knox, Richard Verdine, Michael Verdine, Darrell Verdine, Cameron Boudreaux, Kaylynn Horn and Stormi Bailey. Also surviving her are great-grandchildren, Colby, Walker, Colton, Korey and Carry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Verdine, parents; granddaughter, Terrie Lynn; brother, Wallace and sister, Vivian.

Graveside services will be held in Doyle Cemetery, Starks, Louisiana on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
