Virginia June Marks

Virginia "June" Marks, 80, of West Orange passed away Monday, January 2, 2012, in Orange.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012, at Drake Memorial Presbyterian Church in Orange with Reverend Kevin Trinkle, officiating. Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange on July 7, 1931, June was the daughter of Archie and Inez Lunsford Depwe. She was a member of Drake Memorial Presbyterian Church. June was a loving wife and mother and she was a great cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene "Teneag" Marks; son, Gregory Carroll Marks; sister, Merle Palmetto; and brother, Archie Wynn Depwe. June is survived by her sons, Gary Austin Marks and wife, Jinx of Beaumont, Russell Dwayne Marks of Orange; daughter-in-law, Sharon Marks of Kingwood; grandchildren, Dameon Marks and wife, Misty, Jade Marks, Cori Marks, Jarrod Marks and Coy LaSalle and wife, Lisa; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandi Parkinson and husband, Bob of Blanco; nephew, Chuck Palmetto and his wife, Leslie and their daughter, Keri of Dallas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Rusty Marks, Gary Marks, Tyler Freeman, Dameon Marks, Coy LaSalle, Randy Reed and Thurman Miles.

Gary & Rusty Although I can't be with y'all while you celebrate your mothers life, your in my thoughts and prayers.
