Vivian Ann Gibbs, 74, passed away October 29, 2016 in Beaumont, Texas. She was born December 3, 1941 in Beaumont to Tommy Lee and Mable (Johnson) Gibbs. Ms. Gibbs was a veteran of the US Army.

A service celebrating her life will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont at 11: 00 a.m. November 9, 2016 with burial to follow at 2:15 p.m. in the Houston National Cemetery.

Ms. Gibbs is survived by her daughters, Mary Elizabeth Nix, Lisa Kathleen Gibbs, Tamara Larae Gibbs; son, Mark Jackson,; grandchildren, Barry Nix, Jr., Isaac Nix, Isaiah Nix, Lena Louise Gibbs, Quintin Lee Gibbs, Precious Green, Random Everett Lowe, Tameka Jones, Zakeya Johnson-Rowe, Mark Jackson, Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Lee Johnson; sisters, Patsy Ruth Johnson and Lena Rose Williams and many friends.

I thank everyone who brought a smile to my mother's face and joy to her heart. I will definitely miss her laughter and her demonstrations of love and kindness and her generosity. She was a great pianist. I loved to watch her as she played the piano and sang.
