Graveside services for Wallace Leland Downs, 77, of Beaumont will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Downs was born March 1, 1931 in Beaumont and passed away October 10, 2008 in Nederland. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired electrician with IBEW 479. He is survived by his wife, Betty M. Downs of Beaumont; daughter, Cathy Ann Downs of Kingwood; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Donna Jean Lawrence.
