Wendy Zavada Scow

Wendy Zavada Scow, 38, a life long resident of Orange, died Friday, February 26, 2010, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Turner, of Little Cypress Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Little Cypress.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Wendy was born on April 4, 1971, in Orange, Texas. She was the daughter of Robert "Bob" Zavada and Darline Wingate Zavada.

Wendy was a homemaker. She was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church, a 1989 graduate of West Orange-Stark High School, and attended Lamar University in Orange.

Wendy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. She loved meeting new people, and spending time with her friends, but her joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her husband Joe, and her daughter Madison. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Wendy was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Aunt Donnie Wingate; and grandfather, David Billy Wingate.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Scow, of Orange; parents, Bob and Darline Zavada, of Orange; grandmother, Marjorie Wells of Hartburg, Texas; grandfather, Forrest Wayne Gardner, of Hartburg, Texas; daughter, Madison Scow, of Orange; and sister and brother-in-law, Misty and David Clemons, of Orange.

Joey, Madie, and the Zavada family Wendy's passing has been so hard on me. I grew up idolizing her and loved her more than she will ever know. I am so thankful to have been blessed to know her.
