Wesley Raymond Pace

Wesley Raymond ?Mulehead? Pace, 65, of Orange, died Sunday, July 29, 2007.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Reverend Michael Strother will officiate.

Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Deacon Harvey Dubois officiating.

Mr. Pace was born March 5, 1942, in Port Arthur, the son of Wesley Grayson and Frances Lorraine Hastings Pace.

Mr. Pace served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He was a maintenance mechanic for DuPont, a member of VFW Post 2775, Orange Gun Club, National Rifle Association and a Reserve Peace Officer.

Mr. Pace is survived by his wife JoAnn Pace, daughters, Linda McNamara and husband Frank of Lake Charles, LA, Ronda Austin and husband Dennis of Stuttgart Germany, son Joseph R. Pace and wife Lori of Beaumont; grandchildren, Marcus McNamara, Matthew McNamara, Jenna McNamara and Elyse Austin. Surviving him also are his parents, Wesley Pace and Frances Haley, his sister and brother in law, Kay and Karl Lloyd of Mountain View, AR.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the following doctors for the special care given to Wesley during his illness: Dr. Kurt Lee, Dr. R. David Cox, Dr. Timothy Colgan, Dr. Steven Socher, Dr. Neal Burrell, the UTMB Transplant Team and numerous others throughout the years.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to: UTMB, Transplant Unit, Attn: Memorial Contributions, 301 University Blvd, Galveston, TX, 77555
