Willard A. Sullivan

Funeral services for Willard A. Sullivan, 94, of Port Arthur will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A former longtime resident of Beaumont, Mr. Sullivan was born January 6, 1917 in Oakdale, Louisiana and passed away July 12, 2011at the Rose House in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a retired tank field operator for Union Oil, owned and managed numerous rental properties, served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Lamar Baptist Church.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who was frugal in his living and extremely generous with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Hally Dee Sullivan of Port Arthur; sons, Wayne Sullivan and wife, Barbara of Port Arthur; Ron Sullivan and wife, Jo El of Garland, John Sullivan of Nederland; 8 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Grandpa Sullivan will be missed by all. He was a good man, grandfather and husband to my grandmother. I always remember looking up in the stands and seeing my grandfather at all my sporting games when I was growing up. My father was a wonderful and exceptional man. We will all miss him greatly.
