William Harold O'Brien

William Harold O'Brien, 91, of Denton, TX, formally of Orange died Tuesday, February 19, 2008.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Randy Branch will officiate. Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Saturday at the funeral home.

Harold was born February 26, 1916, in Haskell, TX, to Frank Monroe and Allie Johnson O'Brien. Molly Veitch O'Brien raised Harold after Allie's death.

Harold served in the US Navy during WWII. He was instrumental in bringing city bus transportation to Orange in 1949. He also owned the Sinclair filling station on Green Avenue.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Lowe O'Brien.

He is survived by his children, Julie O'Brien Walters and husband Ken of Flower Mound, TX, Mike Wilson and wife Joyce of Bridge City, Jeff Wilson and wife Liz of Lakewood, CO and Patty Karlstrom and husband Bernie of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Kenneth William Walters, Ryan Christopher Walters, Tracy Ewing, Brian Wilson, Kelly Benavides, Kristin DeLaOliva, Emily Wilson, Jeff Encke, Jason Karlstrom, Mathew Karlstrom, Solvie Karlstrom and Tucker Karlstrom; five great grandchildren, and one on the way. He is also survived by brothers, Frank and George O'Brien and numerous nieces and nephews.

I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT HAROLD PASSING. THE LAST TIME I SAW HAROLD I TOOK MOMMA TO THE NURSING HOME IN VIDOR TO VISIT HIM. WE TRIED TO FIND HIM WHEN MOMMA PAST AWAY. BUT WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE HIM.
