William Bill Cook

Born in Beaumont, Texas in January, 1938; died May 4th, 2009 of throat cancer.

Visitation will be observed from 4-7pm on May 7, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange; Rosary will be recited at 7pm.

Friday, May 8th, visitors can arrive anytime after 8:30am at Claybar Funeral Home. Procession from Claybar will be led by escort at 9:30am to St. Francis Church on Meeks Drive. Mass will begin at 10:30am.

He will be buried at St. Mary's Cemetery on Meeks Drive.

Graduated from Lamar University in 1962 as industrial engineer; owned and operated a gulf shrimp boat in Boliver, Texas; was a member of the Orange group of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a member of square dance clubs but round dancing was his love. He made many friends round dancing and considered them his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William O. and Mary Sue German Cook, and his sister, Susan.

He is survived by his wife, Mazel Cook, and their children: Wayne Granger; Cindy Hudnall and husband Eric; Joseph White; Paul White and wife Tammy; Timmy White and wife Sherri; William BJ Cook and wife Emily; Renee Whitaker and husband David.

He is loved by his 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
