Wilson "Blackie" Vayon

Funeral services for Wilson ?Blackie? Vayon, 81, of Fannett, will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, November 18, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson was born January 15, 1930 in Stowell, TX to Eddie and May Fontenot Vayon and passed away November 15 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Blackie spent his life working in the oil fields as a pumper. He was a hard working man who not only provided for his family but loved and cared for them.

Surviving Blackie are his wife of 63 years, Janie; his son, Eddie Vayon and his wife Michelle; his daughter Renee LeBlanc and her husband Bubba; grandchildren, Candace and Cody LeBlanc, Casey Vayon; and great-grandson Gage Deshotel.

Blackie?s family would like to give special thanks to Donna Touchet and Harbor Hospice for their care of their father.

I am so sorry for you Aunt Janie, Eddie and Renee. All of my childhood camping and fishing memories are tied to Uncle Blackie. He always took Eddie and me out in the boat and taught me to fish.
