Winnie Lee Johnson, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, May 16, 2011.

She was born June 30, 1925 to Wilmer and Lou Bailey in Cravens, LA.

Winnie is survived by her 7 children; Bobby Johnson, Neva Tipton, Donald Johnson, John Johnson, Jackie Johnson, Carolyn Boddie and Gene Johnson; her brother, Ray Bailey and 50 grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Johnson, parents, a sister, Ella Cloud and grandson, Jay Schlett.

Winnie was a faithful member of Sabine Tabernacle in Beaumont for over 65 years. She retired after 27 years as one of the first pediatric nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital in 1993.

The family will receive friends at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 18 at Sabine Tabernacle. Interment will follow the service in Magnolia Cemetery.
