Woodrow Benny Henry, Jr.

Woodrow Benny Henry Jr., 60, of Bridge City, died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Reverend Steve Neal of In His Steps Church of Orange and Reverend Tony McCullough of Bethesda Church in Munson, FL will officiate. Interment will follow at Granger Cemetery in Duncan Woods in Vidor.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Benny was born March 30, 1947, in Orange, TX, to Woodrow Benny and Lillian Ruth Arnaud Henry.

He was a retired Life Insurance salesman for area companies and was a member of In His Steps Church of Orange.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and beloved friend. He loved life and helping out those in need.

He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Woodrow and Lillian Henry and nephew Chad Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Henry of Bridge City, sons, Joseph Paul Henry and wife Kathy of Little Cypress, James Young Henry and wife Alley of St. Pete, FL, and daughter, Jessica Ann Marmon of West Orange; ten adorable grandchildren, five nieces; sisters, JoAnn Singletary Erwin and husband Buddy of Orange and Shirley Smith of St. Pete, FL.

I don't know if you remember me but I went to school with you both and my name was Brenda Compton. I'm so sorry for your lost and my prayers and love go out to you and your family. Benny had a huge heart and shared it whomever he came in contact with. He had a sense of humor I will never forget. His love for God was so moving. I know he is in heaven rejoicing with the angels. He will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##crystal tait##imported-end##

Benny attended church with me in Port Neches for awhile. He loved people and he was a joy to be around. He taught the adult Sunday School class and enjoyed every minute of it. I know he is rejoicing in heaven today. He will be missed.##imported-begin##Linda Tait##imported-end##
